Agnes Huinen aan de piano

Welkom

I started playing the piano when I was ten. At the age of 15 I enrolled for the foundation course of the Fontys Conservatory of Tilburg, which I combined with secondary school. After finishing the latter I continued my studies at the Fontys Conservatory full time. My piano teachers were Liana Serbescu, Joop Albracht, Bart van de Roer and Jelena Bazova. After obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree I continued studying for a Master’s Degree at the Messiaen Academy with Michail Markov. Subsequently I studied Pedagogy for two more years.
I obtained first prize at the “Kijkduin Piano Competition”, reached the finals of the “Fontys Competition for Young Talent” and played on Dutch radio.
I took master classes with Ronald Brautigam, Marie-Laure Boulanger, George Ionescu, Piotr Paleszny and Roberte Mamou and received chamber music lessons from, amongst others, Herman Krebbers, Menachem Breuer and Hagai Shaham.

Logon

I have performed in different formations: piano solo, as a soloist with orchestra, as an accompanist of singers and instrumentalists, and in chamber music with woodwinds, strings and vocalists.
At the moment I am active as a soloist, and regular accompanist of “the Melodivas”, vocal ensemble. I also play pieces for piano quatre mains together with Marijke Wels, and in a duo or trio with Linda Engels, clarinet, and Nuno Malajuwara, viola.
Apart from all that I am a piano teacher at “Grosveld Music School” in Tilburg.

Classical music is to me: making poems without words, telling stories without text...
